Welcome to the Workshop & Events:

This year the Guild is 50 years old and celebrating the Golden Anniversary in several different ways.

On July 19th we entertained Elder Members and members from our Branches as well as some friends from the Hobart Guild with a special Soup and Sandwich Luncheon.  It was a great day and so special to have so many other members to help us celebrate our Birthday Cake especially made by Lyn Dornauf.

We are all working very hard to produce an exceptional display of embroidery for our Exhibition at the Punchbowl Christian Centre from Wed 3rd to Sat 6th October, 2018.  We are very privileged to have Her Excellency, Professor, The Honourable Kate Warner performing the official opening at 2pm on Wed 3rd.  We have Tea and Coffee available and  also displays from other similar organisations  There will also be a very well stocked stall of interesting items made by members. The embroidery from the Bev Tully class as well as the amazing little birds from the Jenny Adin-Christie class in 2017 will make up part of the embroidery display.  Our last Summer challenge was to produce a Gold badge special to the celebration and to wear at the exhibition.  There have been a large variety of ideas and examples of embroidery on the large number made.

Our bi-annual Exhibition will be from 28th September 2016 until 1st October 2016 at the Punchbowl Christian Centre in Punchbowl Road, Lauceston.

Bev Tully will be visiting for a class in November 2016 and Jenny Adin-Christie in August 2017.  There are still places available for any members interested in learning new skills.
